Take a Class Disaster Services Service to Armed Forces Volunteers

Volunteers

Learn how good it can feel to lend a helping hand.
Together, American Red Cross Volunteers:

  • volunteerAssist victims of hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes, floods, winter storms, and other disasters, including families forced from their homes by fire.
  • Provide Community Disaster Education and first aid, CPR, swimming, babysitter preparedness, and other classes.
  • Translate for non-English speakers so that they can receive Red Cross services.
  • Work as nurses offering expertise, care and compassion.
  • Facilitate emergency communications between military personnel and their families.
  • Organize and participate in Red Cross Youth Clubs and Junior Disaster Action Teams.
  • Donate professional expertise in accounting, finance, public relations, website development, administration, and information technology.
  • Help trace victims of war and disaster and reunite families of the Holocaust.
  • Fill leadership roles at local offices, including on task forces and board of directors.
